Residents and staff at a Norwich care home celebrated a successful National Care Home Open Day last month.
The nationwide event saw thousands of care homes across the UK welcome in members of the local community to better understand the care that is provided.
Gryphon Place, in Sprowston, held a BBQ and party in the grounds of the home and entertained more than 30 members of the local community.
Gryphon Place Manager Araceli Serrano said everyone had a lovely time and the residents were proud to show off their home.
She said: “It was such a wonderful day; the sun was shining, and everyone had a great time.
“It was lovely to meet some of our neighbours here in Norwich and I know that our residents and staff had a ball.
“Care Home Open Day is such an important event because our communities get to see the vital work that care services like us do day in day out and the people who use our services get to connect even more with their neighbours.”
The celebrations also included live music and the opportunity to meet staff and the people who use the service.
Gryphon Place, on Wroxham Road, supports seven individuals aged between 18 and 65, who are living with a wide range of neurological conditions and complex needs that can make independent living challenging. The home is rated Good by the Care Quality Commission.
