Over 100 people turned out to celebrate Christmas at Llandybie Social Club this December, as Swanton Care South Wales threw a party to remember.

On Friday 13th December, people supported at Glangarnant House, Dan Y Graig, Cartref Croeso, Maestelio Mansion, Pant Yr Oydn and Sudbury joined staff for the special celebration.

Party goers enjoyed a disco, a homemade buffet and taking pictures in the specially created photo booth. Thanks to big-hearted local businesses, there was also a lucky dip and raffle with prizes galore donated to Swanton Care.

Richie Phillips, Service Manager at Glangarnant House, said the afternoon festivities were a treat for all who attended.

Richie said: “It was great to get together with our friends across South Wales for Christmas.

“The people we support and our staff worked hard to produce homemade cupcakes and turkey and cranberry rolls.

“It was a superb event and everyone had a good time. To see big smiles on the faces of the people we support made my day!”

Thanks to the event, a brilliant £200 was made to donate to Happy Days, Swanton Care’s charity of the year. The charity funds and hosts days out for children living with complex needs, giving families the opportunity to take a break.
