Teams across Swanton raised almost £12,000 for the children’s charity Happy Days.

Swanton selected Happy Days as its partner charity for 2019 and generous teams put on a host of events to raise funds for the essential charity.

From Halloween and Christmas parties to car washes and discos, teams from across the UK organised a range of fundraising events to raise cash.

In total these efforts made £5,750, which was then match funded by Swanton head office.

Peter Cross, Culture and Quality Assurance Director for Swanton, paid tribute to the support teams across the UK who had helped generate so much money for the charity.

He said: “It has been so inspiring to see everyone get right behind our efforts to support Happy Days – it’s a real indication of the wonderful team spirit we have across the UK. Well done to everyone.

“Happy Days provide an invaluable service to children with some of the most complex needs imaginable, so we are proud to play our part.

“And I’m also pleased to confirm that we will be continuing our charity partnership with Happy Days in 2020.”

Rob Cox, Fundraising and Marketing Manager for Happy Days, gave a massive thanks to everyone at Swanton for their hard work.

He said: “The support and fundraising Swanton staff have given has been absolutely invaluable to us, and there are a significant number of life-changing activities that simply wouldn’t have happened without their efforts.

“On behalf of the hundreds of children that have had a special day because of your kind donations of time and money, I’d like to say a huge thank you!

Rob also paid tribute the culture of the organisation and how everyone had pulled together for the charity.

He added: “Obviously the financial support has been wonderful, but it’s also been a real joy personally engaging with the staff around the country.

“The level of positivity has been fantastic, and rarely have I seen such enthusiasm and creativity across an entire organisation. We feel incredibly grateful to have the support of Swanton and I’m really looking forward to working with the team again in the year ahead.”
