The VE Day bank holiday was the perfect inspiration for many Swanton services – as they threw celebratory parties.
The team at Hillcrest decided to host a ‘BBQ and Beers’ event for the people they support, where everyone could enjoy their favourite food and drinks.
With the Union Jacks up, the barbecue firing and the sun shining, staff and the people they support had a lovely afternoon in the sun.
Over at Dan Y Graig, there was outdoor fun too, as the team set up a long buffet table outside the front of the service to serve snacks and beverages.
Everybody was given a Union Jack to wave as the group enjoyed a pleasant afternoon of festivities in the fresh air.
Meanwhile, the people supported at Station House in Diddington were invited to a special garden party to commemorate VE Day.
Cakes were served on vintage cake stands, and everyone enjoyed playing games together in the sun.
One keen photographer at the service took some wonderfully artistic pictures of people supported at Station House using a range of photo editing techniques.
The whole day as a roaring success for the teams across all three services and they did Swanton Care proud.
