Bad weather didn’t stop Team Dan Y Graig from holding their planned outdoor beach party in May – they simply moved the whole event indoors.
The staff and people supported at Dan Y Graig still got dressed up in their most colourful Hawaiian shirts and grass skirts for an afternoon of merriment.
Decked out in their beach party finery, the revellers enjoyed party games, doing an inflatable limbo competition and playing with a bubble machine.
The BBQ was fired up outside to cook burgers, hotdogs and chicken to feast on, and the people supported at Dan Y Graig were able to enjoy their food and mocktails in the party room.
Everyone enjoyed posing for pictures with inflatable selfie frames, flamingos, palm trees and with flower garlands around their necks.
It was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday lockdown afternoon and still have plenty of fun said Deputy Manager Kayleigh Evans.
Kayleigh said: “We had all these plans for fun in the sun, but the weather was against us.
“However, there was never any doubt that my team would make it happen, and the indoor beach party was absolutely brilliant.
“We made sure to create a playlist with the favourite music of all the people we support on it as our soundtrack.
“The games were great fun, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was awesome.
“I’m so proud of everyone for making our beach party a great success, despite the weather!”
