The people supported at Swanton’s Eastholme service in County Durham created their own Starbucks treats as part of a morning of fun-filled activities.
With so many Starbucks fans at the service, the team decided to try their hand at recreating favourites from the American coffee giant’s menu.
The fun began when the people supported at Eastholme put together their shopping list – adding ingredients to make hot chocolate, coffee, tea and milkshakes. Whipped cream and marshmallows helped make the drinks extra decadent.
As well as the Starbucks drinks, a selection of delicious cookies, chocolate muffins and doughnuts were added to the basket. Once everything was prepared, it was a morning treat just like the ones you get at the legendary coffee company.
Team Leader Mel Clark said: “We wanted to bring Starbucks to Eastholme and we did it!
“The people we supported also made hand-drawn coffee cups with a logo on them, so they looked authentic.
“Everyone got their drinks and sweet treats, and then we settled in for a morning of puzzles. We completed word searches, spot the difference puzzles and then played Connect 4.
“It was a really enjoyable morning for all of us – and the people we support said they loved it.”
