Love was in the air at Seaham View this Valentine’s Day, as the people supported at the service took part in love-themed arts and crafts.
In celebration of the day of romance, staff supported the group to make heart-shaped decorations and paperchains to hang.
Warren and Verity chose to do some card-making and created beautiful Valentine’s for support worker Sarah and cook Joanne.
It was all about food in the afternoon as everyone got together to decorate cakes and strawberries with various toppings.
There were edible hearts, marshmallows and coloured icing to decorate with – everything you could want from a Valentine’s cupcake. Plus, there was melted chocolate to dip strawberries in for a decadent treat.
Service Manager Dhiraj Rijhwani said that it was a great way to celebrate February 14th.
Dhiraj said: “Seaham View looked terrific with all the handmade decorations up – the people we support did a fantastic job.
“It was great for the group to try a few different activities as part of the day, and the cakes looked brilliant.
“By the end of all that crafting, everyone was ready to settle down and enjoy the cakes as we watched a film and relaxed.
“Our wonderful staff were certainly feeling the love from the people we support.”
