Huge congratulations go to Emz from Swanton Supported Living in Sunderland who has passed three major exams.

Emz took her GCSEs in English Language, English Literature and Mathematics, as well as completing the Prince’s Trust Level 1 Award in Personal Development and Employability.

Her massive achievements come after Emz had to re-sit her GCSEs because the qualifications she got in Scotland weren’t recognised in England.

Although she was worried about passing, Emz needn’t have been concerned because she came through with flying colours.

Team Leader Steph Alexander said that everyone at SSL is delighted for her for doing so well.

Steph said: “It’s been so fantastic to see Emz get the results she was hoping for.

I know how much she was worrying that she wouldn’t get the grades, but she smashed it.”

With the exams under her belt, Emz is hoping to head back to college towards the end of the year.

She’s planning to do a course where she can explore her passion for writing and poetry.

Steph said: “Emz writes the most incredible poems – she’s got a real talent.

“There’s so much potential there, we can’t wait to see where her dreams take her.”
