Meet our team

Louise Jones

Service Manager

Hi, I’m Louise Jones, I have been working for GRS Care since 1st August 2018, joining the team as Team Leader, progressing to Manager and most recently, in June 2022, promoted to Registered Manager. I have 31 years’ experience in the health and social care sector, previously working in roles such as Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader and Assistant Manager these roles help develop my knowledge and practical skills around direct care and support as well as the management of the services. 

In 2013 I completed my QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Adults) and I am currently working towards Level 3 ILM qualification with the support of Swanton Care. ILM is a generic Leadership and Management course delivered over 3 optional units. I am also the qualified manual handling trainer for GRS, which means I am responsible for training the team members in the All-Wales Passport to Manual Handling.

On a personal level I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks, swimming, paddle boarding, and I am a keen supporter of Llanelli town AFC.

Regional Director

I joined Swanton Care in September 2006 as a Support Worker at Maesteilo care home, since then I have gradually progressed through to Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Home Manager and most recently progressing to Regional Director of Wales in July 2022. Throughout my time with Swanton Care, they have supported me through my Level 3 and Level 5 Management qualification in Health and Social Care. 

I have supported people with learning disabilities and autism for over 16 years, the knowledge and skills gained during this time is invaluable and has supported my progression through to my current role. My philosophy is to provide person-centred care that embraces safe and meaningful care for the people we support, encouraging growth and opportunity. I am a strong believer that working together works best, and working in partnership with the people we support brings more positive and meaningful outcomes.

During my seven years of being a Manager, I have helped develop 4 members of my team who then progressed to Deputy or Managers. Encouraging my team to develop and grow always brings a smile to my face and I look forward to continuing this throughout my role as Regional Director.

Kate Pearce

Chief Operating Officer for Scotland and Wales

I became a Chief Operating Officer in July 2022, prior to this I was Regional Director to Values in Care for 2 years. During my time in the social care sector, I have gained a wealth of experience, starting my career as a young Support Worker in 2003, progressing through roles such as Keyworker, Manager and Area Manager. 

I have loved gaining qualifications along the way, including a Level 5 in Leadership and Management and an ILM Level 5 (The Institute of Leadership and Management ), this has helped me to support the people in our care to have a better quality of life. I also have a keen interest in Positive Behavioural Support and am continuing my learning by undertaking a Diploma in this specialist area.

During my 19 years in the social care sector, I have always worked in complex homes for people with learning disabilities  and autism, leading and directing teams to ensure we offer the best care possible to the people we support. Growing organically has ensured that I have great knowledge, experience and understanding in the care sector. 

In my spare time I really enjoy horse riding, spending time with my family and pets.

We are a diverse team of 30 who are all passionate about what we do, and we ensure that “Every Moment Matters” to the people we support.
