Learning disabilities
Hi, I’m Stuart Healer, the service manager of Seaham View – Swanton Care. I have worked with Swanton since 2011, beginning as a Support Worker, working with adults with learning disabilities and autism.
In prior positions I had never enjoyed my day-to-day roles; however, I found that becoming a Support Worker was extremely rewarding and I could set goals and achievements for myself to ultimately become Service Manager one day. With the help and support of Swanton Care, providing me with the tools and patience to complete multiple diplomas in health and social care, team leading and management qualifications and a positive behaviour support qualification. I achieved my goal in March 2021 all whilst supporting lots of amazing individuals in our care.
Although my role and responsibilities have changed, the most important responsibility hasn’t, we want to ensure that Every Moment Matters for the people we support.
I bring over 15 years of experience in the social care sector, having started my career as a support worker in 2009. Over the years, I have held various leadership roles, which have given me a deep understanding of both the challenges and rewards of delivering high-quality care.
I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with technology companies to develop assistive technologies, and most recently, I served as a Strategic Leader overseeing 130 services across residential, respite, domiciliary, and ISL provisions. My dedication to ensuring that care is personalised and tailored to each individual’s unique needs is central to my work, and I firmly believe that every voice matters and deserves to be heard.

The people we support have a garden on site which holds plenty of space for outdoor activities or relaxation, which on a sunny day is an absolute must!
Trinity House is known for its homely feel and layout, where individuals are able to feel safe.
