As a company, we conduct bi-annual surveys of our workforce, people we support, their families and friends as well as stakeholders we work with. Here are the results for the 2022 surveys:

Meet Alicia, she is our very first Quality Checker which is a very important job in Swanton Care. Alicia has worked with the Quality team since January 2020. She creates her own surveys, complete with words and pictures which she uses as a way of gathering feedback from people we support. She holds fun coffee mornings that people love to come to. They have drinks and cakes and everyone gets to spend some time with Alicia as she asks them her survey questions. Alicia shares the feedback with Swanton so we can make improvements. She then feeds back to people again with …” you said…we did,” so everyone knows how their opinions matter, we listen and we act where we can. Alicia is going to help train Quality Checkers all through Swanton services in 2022.

As specialist service providers, we support people with autism and learning disabilities to have a sense of belonging and safety in the right environments that best suit their needs. People require person specific services that are tailored to meet their unique needs and celebrate their individuality. As part of our approach, we follow the “Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture,” framework for inspection as published by the Care Quality Commission in 2020. The report published highlighted the findings of the CQC which included how people with learning disabilities and autism were experiencing prolonged periods of seclusion, and high levels of restraint.
