I started my career in Care as a Support Worker 12 years ago. Gradually working my way through to Deputy Manager and now Registered Manager.
I have been supported to develop myself with various qualifications, such as my Level 2 and Level 3 Diplomas in Health and Social Care, Level 2 Principles of Team Leading and I am currently working towards NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management.
I work in close partnership with my team, as well as internal and external professionals, to ensure the people we support are receiving high quality person-centred care. Along with achieving their personal goals, they are given the opportunity to have fun and enjoy their activities.
I joined Swanton in 2017 as a service manager and worked with the team to expand supported living services as well as manage residential homes. In time, I became regional director for the North-East in 2021, and Divisional Director in 2024. I learned very early on in my career with Swanton that the company is very passionate about the people we support, their homes and enriching their quality of life, which aligns with my own values.
I moved to England from Mumbai, India, in 2005 for education which I continued to do for several years. During this time, I integrated with people from many countries and cultures, and this helped broaden my viewpoints massively. I firmly believe this helped me to embrace diversity and value varied inputs throughout my career, which I have been in since 2006.
I understand that being in a support environment can be difficult. Together, the team and I are here to help in empowering and supporting those in our care to feel safe and live the lives they wish to lead.

The people we support at Tynedale – Swanton Care, have person-centred support plans in place which have been implemented by the support team, families, and other agencies, to ensure they are reaching their full potential and achieving their goals. The people we support complete fun activities and join in with events that are run across the company as well as within their home and region.
We encourage the people we support to make use of our gardens, enjoy the outdoor space and in turn help with their mental health and wellbeing.
Pleasing feedback from our recent CQC Report read that: “People were kept safe in the service” and “Risks to people’s health, safety and wellbeing were well managed.”
In addition, when they spoke to relatives they said: “Staff supported people in a dignified and respectful manner.”
During our latest Care for Quality inspection the inspector stated our support plans are person centred.
