I joined Swanton Care & Community in September 2021, as the Regional Director for the East Anglian Region. I have been a Registered Nurse (RNLD) for over 25 years, and during that time have enjoyed a varied career within a range of settings and services at a senior level.
I have an MBA and APMP qualification.
I am proud of the team that I work with and the passion that they have for their roles and the people we support. I embrace being able to make a positive difference to the lives of the people we support and our team members.
I started my career as a Support Worker when I graduated university in 2004, progressing my way through Deputy Manager and Home Manager, eventually joining Swanton in 2018 working as a Locality Manager covering services in and around Hull.
I have successfully held registrations for, and worked in, a full range of services from Supported Living to challenging Residential homes.
I share Swanton Care’s passion for ensuring that the vulnerable people in our care have the best life and opportunities possible. I believe this is achieved by making sure the people we support have their voices heard and that our teams are appropriately trained and supported to provide this care.
I feel privileged to work in such a rewarding sector with a fantastic team. I look forward to what the future will bring for the people we support and our organisation.
All of the flats within SCS Norwich – Swanton Care, are self-contained with spacious living arrangements and 24/7 float support. The people we support have a dedicated 1-1 support team to help and encourage independence levels which includes daily living activities, medication compliance and much more.
The team actively engages with the people we support to enhance their lives, encouraging them to use their 1-1 time to promote their independence. We always put the needs of the people we support first, therefore we try our utmost to allocate their 1-1 time when they want/need it.
Our latest CQC rating was ‘Good’ overall, all the interviews CQC held received positive feedback in that family members would recommend SCS Norwich.
