A Day At The Farm Gives Lisa A Boost

A wholesome day of planting and animal care gave Lisa a spring in her step this April.

Lisa, who is supported at Values In Care’s Towyn Way service, has spent the past year recovering from major surgery.

During her recovery, Lisa has had to take things very easy, so she is only just starting to start doing activities outside home.

So, it was a significant step forward when Support Worker Cheryl Evans supported Lisa to have a day out at nearby Prince Llewellyn Farm.

Cheryl said: “Lisa had a fantastic day at the farm – it was terrific to see her enjoying herself.

“There’s always plenty to do when we visit, and this trip was no exception as it was potato-planting day.

“Lisa got stuck in with digging and planting, which is no small job. It’ll be great to return when the potatoes Lisa planted are harvested so she can see the results of her hard work.”

Of course, there’s nothing better for the soul than some quality time with cute animals.

For Lisa, that involved feeding some famished new friends.

Cheryl added: “There’s an adorable miniature pony at Prince Llewellyn Farm called ‘Scooby-Doo’ and Lisa took great delight in feeding him.

“She also got involved with giving the goats their food, which was lovely to see.

“It’s been a tough year for Lisa as she’s had to recover from a major operation, and we couldn’t be prouder to see her out and enjoying activities again.

“We hope this is the start of more wonderful adventures for Lisa.”
