The promise of summer fun has one young man working hard to prepare for brighter days.
Alex, who is supported at Ty Cornel, loves being outdoors, so he got to work cleaning and clearing the service’s garden and patio area.
With just a hint of sun peeping through, Alex rolled up his sleeves to start brushing up the leaves and debris on the paving.
Once the leaves were cleared, it was time to deploy the hosepipe and get the patio refreshed for the warmer months ahead.
Deputy Manager Dawn Pearce said Alex did a great job tackling the outdoor area and has made great strides in getting it ready for summer.
Dawn said: “Alex is a diamond – his hard work means we’ll all get to enjoy being outside at Ty Cornel this summer.
“He worked hard to clear the winter debris and wash down the patio. We can set up the furniture and tend to our pots now, so everything is blooming and lovely when the sunshine arrives.
“Being outdoors is so good for the people we support, and Alex loves getting out in the fresh air.
“It’s lovely to see him so excited and motivated as we look forward to a summer full of making happy memories.”
