Hayley has given some lucky people the chance to enjoy her pre-loved clothes after doing a charity bin drop.
It was a big step for Hayley , who is supported at Glangarnant, to agree to part with items she no longer wears, but she made the decision to donate after talking to her support workers.
There were plenty of lovely items that no longer fit Hayley and were just languishing in her wardrobe.
So, with her parents’ permission, Hayley took a walk to the local charity clothes bin to make her donation.
Service Manager Michelle Williams said it was a fantastic step forward for Hayley.
Michelle said: “We’re all so proud of Hayley and how well she’s doing.
“She’s very protective of her belongings, understandably, so for her to decide to donate the clothes was a big deal.
“What’s great is that Hayley loves to help others and her support workers explained that gifting her clothes would mean new people could get the benefit of them.”
It’s been an exciting few months for Hayley, who has been regularly trying things out of her comfort zone.
Michelle added: “Hayley has started to embrace many different activities, and it’s wonderful to see.
“She’s started going out much more and doing walks, so it was great that she could take a walk to donate the clothes.
“She’s also been swimming, which she now loves, and trying other new things.
“All this progress makes Hayley so happy, which means the world to us.”
