A beautiful moment between siblings made bride Yasmin’s wedding day complete as she received the ultimate compliment from brother Christian.
There was a question mark over whether Christian, who is supported at Milton House, would be able to attend the big day, but thanks to his support team, he made it.
Not only did Christian get to the town hall on time, but he arrived looking dapper in his suit, much to the delight of his sister and their parents.
However, it was when Christian gave Yasmin a beautiful compliment after the ceremony that the happy tears flowed.
Service Manager Sarah Leach said: “Christian walked over to Yasmin and said, ‘She looks beaut’ which made her well up.
“Yasmin said it’s the nicest thing that Christian’s ever said to her, and it meant the world to her and her groom that he could be part of their special day.
“It was such a happy occasion, and Christian got to see people in their extended family whom he’d not met up with for years, which was lovely.”
Since Christian moved into Milton House, his support team has worked hard to empower him to do more things he loves.
There was a time when it would have been very challenging for Christian to make Yasmin’s special day.
But thanks to his hard work and his team’s support, the whole family were able to be together.
Sarah said: “Christian’s parents couldn’t have been more thrilled to have him there, and it was the icing on the wedding cake for Yasmin.
“It meant everything to me and our Team Leader Darren to support Christian because we know how much it meant to his family.
“Everyone had such a lovely time, and it was a day that we’ll never forget – in fact, Christian hasn’t stopped talking about it!”
