Keen photographer David has been honing his skills after joining a new camera club.
The Carmarthen Photographic Society runs weekly sessions for photographers of all ages and abilities to learn new techniques.
David, who is supported at Swanton’s Maesawel service, expressed to his key worker that he wanted to develop his camera skills.
Happily, the staff found the weekly CP Society classes run at the Zion Chapel and now David is making excellent progress.
Team Leader Dwayne Harries said: “David has been going to Camera Club for five weeks, and he’s really enjoying it.
“He was already a great photographer, so it’s been exciting to see how quickly he’s picking up all these new skills and techniques.
“After the club, David asks to go to various locations during the week so that he can put his new skills into practice.
“He’s captured some fantastic shots of the beautiful countryside around us.”
The Carmarthen Photographic Society run regular Best Photograph competitions in the club, and David was excited to submit his first entry.
He sent in three snaps – including shots featuring a sports car, scenery and a church.
Dwayne added: “David loves sports cars, so it’s no surprise that he’s been keen to take photos of them.
“He couldn’t decide which photo to submit, so he sent in all three and is eagerly awaiting the competition results.
“David has a really good camera, and now he’s getting some helpful advice from his tutors about getting the right lens for what he wants to achieve.
“We’re all so impressed with what David has achieved so far and can’t wait to see where his photography takes him next.”
