Hazel and Norman Make It Official At Naming Ceremony

Love was in the air at Pennant Road this autumn when Hazel and Norman threw a party to celebrate a relationship milestone.

The happy couple, who met at Maes Golau, have been together for over ten years, and Hazel decided to change her surname to take Norman’s name, Evans.

It was a lovely moment for Hazel and Norman, who’d been hoping to change her name since before the pandemic.

They were joined by family and friends for a moving celebration and smiled the whole time.

Team Leader Alanna Key said that Norman and Hazel’s big day meant a lot to everyone.

Alanna said: “What a wonderful occasion to be a part of – Norman and Hazel are a terrific couple.

“Everybody can see how happy they make each other, and it was incredibly emotional for Hazel to change her name to Evans.

“It was a beautiful evening full of love and laughter.”

The guests congregated at Maees Lleidi Hostel, where Hazel and Norman enjoyed a buffet meal and drinks.

There was also a stunning cake that featured a lovely photo of them together.

Alanna added: “Hazel and Norman’s celebration was the perfect way to mark this next chapter in their relationship.

“The cake was delicious, and it was lovely that it was specially made and personal to them.

“Everyone who supports them wishes the new Hazel and Norman Evans the happiest future together!”
