Lake Ramble Boosts Adam and Stephen’s Spirits

A lovely ramble taking in the local wildlife gave Adam and Stephen a spring in their steps this February.

The two men, who are supported at Maes Y Bryn, enjoyed a trip to Trelewis Lakes alongside Support Workers Jess Morgan and Ethan Morgan.

While Adam is a keen walker who loves to get out and about, Stephen sometimes needs a bit of persuasion to join in.

Happily, this particular stroll was just what Stephen wanted on the day and the trio had a lovely time.

Jess said: “We are so lucky to have Trelewis Lakes close to our service so we can enjoy the natural beauty on our doorstep.

“The people we support love coming out here because there’s so much wildlife to see.

“Adam and Stephen saw ducks, swans and lots of other bird life as we walked around the lakes.

“We also stopped to say hello to some of the dog walkers who were also there, which Stephen enjoys as he loves to chat.”

After two laps of Trelewis, the group headed home to Maes Y Bryn for some well-deserved refreshments.

Jess added: “It was lovely to have a hot drink and get cosy.

“We heaped lots of praise on Stephen for coming out and doing the walk.

“I love seeing the people I support so happy and fulfilled.

“It was a fun day for all of us.”
