Seaham View Team Leader Robert Middleton has reached a work milestone by celebrating ten years at Swanton.
Hardworking Robert has had a terrific tenth year as he recently secured the promotion from Support Worker to Team Leader.
Throughout his time at the company, Robert has developed exceptional skills and knowledge of how to support people at Seaham View.
Plus, he’s managed to learn things that are useful in his life outside of work, too.
Deputy Manager Liam Hodgson said that Robert often laughs about how far he’s come during his time at the company.
Liam said: “Robert is one of the most reliable colleagues we have on the team and is so good at helping to de-escalate situations and soothe the people we support.
“He will always say that he’s had a massive turnaround because when he arrived at Seaham View, he struggled with household tasks like making beds.
“Robert had never had to do that sort of thing before, and he learned on the job when he was supporting people here to keep the service tidy.
“He’s just recently purchased his first home with his partner, so it’s a good job that he’s learned how to do all these chores!”
During his ten years at Seaham View, Robert has become a highly valued team member.
Liam said: “Robert is great with the people we support and his colleagues, he’s always there to lend a helping hand.
“We’re so proud of him for reaching such a massive milestone and being such a brilliant member of the team.
“Here’s to his bright future at Swanton.”
