There were smiles of joy for Simon when he finally got back on the horse following the pandemic.
Before COVID, Simon regularly visited Pembrey Park Riding Centre for sessions but lost his confidence after a long time away.
So, the team at the stables were thrilled when Simon – who is supported at Pant Yr Odyn – returned this summer and started horse-riding again.
Team Leader Jamie Green said that Simon thoroughly enjoys his twice-weekly rides out.
Jamie said: “It’s lovely to see Simon getting back into horse riding.
“The team at Pembrey Park are so welcoming and encouraging, so he’s got his confidence back up.
“They have beautiful horses at the stables there, and it’s just terrific to see Simon spend time with them during the hacks.
“We can tell by his body language that he enjoys the experience, and we hope he’ll continue to do so.”
