The strength and resilience of Towyn Way’s Lisa has been inspirational to witness, say her devoted care team.
Lisa, who is supported at the service, recently underwent major surgery, and has overcome so much during her difficult ordeal.
Registered Manager Donna Nicholas says that despite doctors, nurses and hospitals being triggers for Lisa, she’s shown incredible bravery.
Her stoicism has been so awe-inspiring that Lisa’s medical team have said she’s an example to others.
Donna said: “This has been one of the biggest obstacles Lisa will ever face in her life, and she’s been amazing.
“At every stage of this traumatic journey, Lisa has been a real trooper, even in the face of so many triggers.
“We are all so proud of her and how she’s handled it all. Lisa is our superwoman!”
Lisa had the procedure to relieve significant pain that’d been impacting her life.
While the benefits of having the surgery were significant, Lisa’s support team were concerned about how it might impact her emotionally.
However, Lisa has dealt with it all with considerable grace and courage.
Donna added: “Lisa hasn’t complained at all, she’s handled the whole journey so well.
“We all look at her and think, ‘Wow!’ because she’s hardly showing any pain.
“In fact, her doctors were amazed by what a brilliant patient she is and how she’s responded to this.
“Lisa is an incredibly strong person, and all of us who support her are in awe of how she’s coped.”
