Swanton North-East Seeks Donations For Rave Night Tombola

Team Swanton Northeast has issued a rallying call to local businesses and individuals to donate prizes for a charity tombola at their upcoming rave.

Proceeds from the tombola will go to Sunderland MIND, which does fantastic work helping people in distress in the local area.

People supported at Swanton services all over the Northeast will attend the ‘Express Yourself’ rave, where the tombola is just one of the night’s excitements.

Swanton’s Jan Collins hopes to bring in donations of toiletries, vouchers, meals, alcohol and anything else that local people want to offer.

Jan said: “We want to raise as much money as possible for Sunderland MIND, so we need lots of donations from our wonderful community.

“Our tombolas are always incredibly popular, so it’s a great chance to do something meaningful for those struggling with their mental health.

“We’re hoping that businesses and individuals will be inspired to donate and make our fundraiser a massive success.”

The Express Yourself rave is taking place on Sunday 7th April at The Alexander in Grange Town, Sunderland.

Glow sticks and neon accessories will be in abundance, and the ravers will get the chance to have lots of fun dressing up in the costume area.

Jan added: “There will also be the opportunity for the people we support to try DJ-ing or to sing on the night.

“We’re also laying on a delicious buffet, tables for face painting and wellbeing activities, as well as information about mental health provision in our community.”

If you’d like to donate, please email Jan Collins at jan.collins@swantoncare.com.
