Eden View - Swanton Care is a 10 Bedroom Complex Nursing Care home in Cambridge. Situated in the lovely village of Bottisham, we offer a peaceful and natural environment tailored to those with complex clinical nursing needs, either on a permanent or respite stay.
I joined Swanton Care in July 2016 as a Deputy Manager at Eden View, then progressed to Home Manager in July 2017 with the help and support from Swanton Care to complete my Level 5 Social Care Management qualification.
I have been a Registered Nurse (RN Adult), BA (Hons) Primary Care, BSc. (Hons) Nursing for over 25 years. I have enjoyed a varied career in London and Cambridge Hospitals with the NHS, Primary Care and as a qualified District Nurse.
I have been fortunate to work within the Social Care sector for over 10 years, in nursing care of the older person, and complex nursing needs. I pride myself in providing person-centred nurse planning and delivery that embraces safe clinical nursing care in a homely, culturally healthy environment for the people we support.
I joined Swanton Care & Community in September 2021, as the Regional Director for the East Anglian Region. I have been a Registered Nurse (RNLD) for over 25 years, and during that time have enjoyed a varied career within a range of settings and services at a senior level.
I have an MBA and APMP qualification.
I am proud of the team that I work with and the passion that they have for their roles and the people we support. I embrace being able to make a positive difference to the lives of the people we support and our team members.
I started my career as a Support Worker when I graduated university in 2004, progressing my way through Deputy Manager and Home Manager, eventually joining Swanton in 2018 working as a Locality Manager covering services in and around Hull.
I have successfully held registrations for, and worked in, a full range of services from Supported Living to challenging Residential homes.
I share Swanton Care’s passion for ensuring that the vulnerable people in our care have the best life and opportunities possible. I believe this is achieved by making sure the people we support have their voices heard and that our teams are appropriately trained and supported to provide this care.
I feel privileged to work in such a rewarding sector with a fantastic team. I look forward to what the future will bring for the people we support and our organisation.
At Eden View - Swanton Care, the people we support are encouraged and supported to live an active, fulfilled life. Our relationship-centred clinical nursing care enables us to empower the people we support, to explore new activities and create opportunities for themselves they may not have experienced previously.
We have strong links to the local community, and enjoy activities in house such as our enclosed garden, the surrounding grounds and our own physiotherapy room. Walks in the surrounding area are very popular, and we have very positive and therapeutic relationships with those we support and their families.
