For those who provide disability care for a child or loved one, receiving support you can rely on and taking a break, even for a short while, is vital. Over the years, we have supported many families who are carers for those with additional needs.
We provide support to people living in their family home, to enable greater independence and less reliance on the family as their carers. This can strengthen relationships within families as we take the weight of the care role and support the person to build their skills. We enable people to develop a network of support outside of the family and join in activities and events with their peers.

We provide shorter periods of support – from a few hours a week to a day trip with the individual to allow the family a little “down-time”. We also offer weekly day breaks and longer time periods including taking individuals on short breaks, enabling the family to take a break themselves.

We work closely with families to record a comprehensive plan of support that takes into account routines and specific needs, often becoming a plan which is used to provide a more regular pattern of respite support on a long-term scale.

We accept a wide variety of service support funding, including from local authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups, direct payments, individual service funds, and personal budgets.
