Eastholme - Swanton Care, is a small, 4-bedroom, semi-detached residential home based in Seaham Co Durham. We even have our own private road, a few minutes’ walk from the seafront. The home is in a great location as it gives the people we support, privacy and the option of walking a short distance to the seafront which has many shops, ice cream parlours, cafes and restaurants. We also have fantastic travel links and are surrounded by plenty of natural nature reserves.

With nearly 10 years of experience in the health and social care sector, I have supported individuals with complex care and support needs throughout my career. I joined Swanton in March 2019 as a support worker and have since progressed through various roles, including Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Scheme Manager, and now Service Manager. Swanton Care supported me in gaining my Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Care, which has deepened my understanding of each role, enabling me to provide meaningful and impactful support to my team.
My primary goal is to deliver a safe, effective, and high-quality service that ensures positive outcomes and a good quality of life for the people we support. I am also passionate about helping my team achieve their personal and professional goals through guidance and progression.
At Eastholme, we take pride in being a diverse and dedicated team, working closely with internal and external agencies to ensure we deliver the highest quality support, making every moment matter.
I bring over 15 years of experience in the social care sector, having started my career as a support worker in 2009. Over the years, I have held various leadership roles, which have given me a deep understanding of both the challenges and rewards of delivering high-quality care.
I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with technology companies to develop assistive technologies, and most recently, I served as a Strategic Leader overseeing 130 services across residential, respite, domiciliary, and ISL provisions. My dedication to ensuring that care is personalised and tailored to each individual’s unique needs is central to my work, and I firmly believe that every voice matters and deserves to be heard.

At Eastholme - Swanton Care, we support 4 people with complex needs, autism, learning disabilities and epilepsy. We are always looking for new ways to empower them to be able to increase their independence, learn new skills and achieve their goals, all while making sure Every Moment Matters.
During our latest CQC inspection, we were rated ‘good’ in all areas of support. One very pleasing comment from a family member of a person we support said: “I have always said if I won the lottery, I’d still never find a place like Eastholme for my daughter as the support & care is amazing. This is why after 20 years, she is still a resident in Eastholme”.
