I joined Swanton Care in 2015 as a Support Worker, previously working in a finance department I was keen to find a more fulfilling role. After 3 years I became Team Leader, Deputy, and then recently becoming the home Manager in July 2022.
I work hard to bring my values of honesty, responsibility, integrity, and empathy to my daily work, as well as to provide the best care possible to the people we support. My care experience, combined with over 20 years of providing care to a family member, means that I am dedicated to improving the lives of others and ensuring that they meet their own potential through encouragement, support and empowerment.
The challenges, the opportunities to learn, and the fact that every day is different are all a part of why I enjoy my role. I am extremely proud of the team at Baylis Place - Swanton Care, and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in the future.
I started my career in 2003 as a bank support worker and I have worked hard to progress. I was promoted within a year to a Team Leader, then a Registered Manager, I make it my mission to ensure that every person has a voice and a person-centred plan in place.
I joined Emerald Care Services as a Registered Manager in 2019 and I was delighted in 2022 to be promoted to the Regional Operations Director for the Central and Yorkshire Region for Swanton Care.
It’s my passion to ensure that I provide the guidance to my teams to enable them to care for people we support at an outstanding level. I am committed to making a difference to the lives of the people we support and my team, whilst being present in each area of my region, making the time to visit each home as much as possible.

At Baylis Place - Swanton Care we pride ourselves on providing genuine, person-centred care, in a home setting where the people we support have as much say as possible over their environment. Many have chosen their own bedroom décor and regularly take part in goal meetings with their key workers.
Our dedicated team, some of which have been at Baylis for more than 10 years, promote and encourage the people we support to live happy, healthy, and safe lives. We encourage plenty of activities throughout the year, some of which can be found on our news section.
