Meet our team

Zoe Whitbread

Service Manager

I started my career in care at the age of 18 and have progressed from a Support Worker role into a Manager’s role. I have invested time into each role I’ve carried out to prepare myself for a management position. I have a kind and caring nature that I have used to grow my career.

I have taken many experiences and a lot of knowledge from each of my previous employments, which led me to find the area of care I am most interested in – learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge, in young people.

I am very hardworking and passionate about my role in social care. I always ensure I go above and beyond to meet the young people’s needs within a safe, empowering, and supportive environment. I am a strong advocate for the children I support, always putting them at the centre of their care.

My team is always looking for opportunities to grow and develop, I pride myself in providing them with the opportunity to do so, in turn this allows us to provide the best possible support to the young people in our care.

Adam Smith

Regional Director – Courtyard Care South

I have 10+ years’ experience in the care sector, with both young adults and children. I have had the pleasure of working with multiple registered services where we offered support and care for children with learning disabilities, mental health, emotional behavioural difficulties, sexual harmful behaviours and complex health needs.

I started my working career in the British Army where I formed an aptitude for teamwork and leading from the front. After a career change in 2010 I found myself in my first role supporting young people/adults in a supported living environment, whilst still linked to the British Army as a reservist. I then supported in a children’s residential care setting in 2013 where I progressed through varying roles to become the Regional Operations Manager for the east & southeast Anglia covering 13 Good and Outstanding services.

I am very passionate about improving lives by providing the best possible care whilst helping them to reach their full potential. I’m a driven and strategic individual with proven success in this industry.

I am also the Responsible Individual (RI) for all of our children’s homes in the South.
