Wycombe Way is a children's residential care facility based in Luton.
We offer long term care for children of any gender, with either a learning disability or a physical disability, or both.
We aim to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children where they’ll be protected from harm, and seek to give children rich and varied experiences during their time at our facility, to help them learn and grow.

I moved to England in 2002 from Malawi, also known as the "Warm Heart of Africa," to pursue studies in Computer Programming. During my studies, I took on part-time jobs, which introduced me to health and social care.
I began working in Adult Services, supporting various needs across care homes, nursing homes, mental health hospitals, and supported living services. My journey into Children’s Services began when I was placed through an agency at Macintyre Care homes. There, I witnessed young people achieve positive outcomes, and their lives transformed—this was the moment I knew I wanted to be part of this change.
Since then, I've worked as a Support worker and Team leader, gaining qualifications along the way, and I’ve been the Registered Manager at Wycombe House since August 2022.
Managing a children's home is incredibly rewarding, especially with a dedicated team that’s passionate about making a difference—creating a nurturing environment where young people feel safe, supported, and truly at home.

I’m delighted to join Courtyard Care as Regional Director for the South, bringing over 20 years’ experience across respite care, children’s end‑of‑life care, complex behaviours and learning disabilities. I’ve held senior leadership roles managing children’s homes and overseeing multiple services, always with a strong focus on quality and positive outcomes. As a Registered Manager, I was proud to achieve an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Care and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, alongside several years’ experience as a trainer in behaviour management and therapeutic approaches. In my role as Regional Director, I’m committed to championing best practice, compliance and values‑led teams, ensuring every child and young person has the opportunity to thrive.

We care for our children in 2 adjacent houses in a quiet residential area on the edge of Luton in Bedfordshire. Between them, our houses can accommodate up to 7 children.
There’s plenty of communal and private space for each child, and the houses are close to local shops and are within walking distance of the surrounding countryside.
Each child who lives with us is assigned their own keyworker, who meets with them regularly on their own, and supports them to ensure their needs and wishes are heard and acted upon.
