I joined Swanton in March 2016 as the Registered Service Manager for Darwin Community Support – Swanton Care. I then progressed to the Locality Manager in 2020. I have worked with adults who have a learning disability for over 26 years.
I am passionate about promoting people’s independence, reducing their reliance on paid support and being an active member of their local community. We have developed a range of accommodation across Telford to meet the needs of people with profound and multiple disabilities.
I love my job and am proud of the team around me, who continue to work together to achieve the best goals and outcomes for the people who we support.
I started my career in 2003 as a bank support worker and I have worked hard to progress. I was promoted within a year to a Team Leader, then a Registered Manager, I make it my mission to ensure that every person has a voice and a person-centred plan in place.
I joined Emerald Care Services as a Registered Manager in 2019 and I was delighted in 2022 to be promoted to the Regional Operations Director for the Central and Yorkshire Region for Swanton Care.
It’s my passion to ensure that I provide the guidance to my teams to enable them to care for people we support at an outstanding level. I am committed to making a difference to the lives of the people we support and my team, whilst being present in each area of my region, making the time to visit each home as much as possible.

Our properties are in close proximity to each other, in the beautiful town of Telford. We offer a diverse and person-centred services to meet the needs of each individual, we can offer both supported living within a scheme or in individual settings.
At Darwin Community Support – Swanton Care, we support a diverse set of individuals with varying diagnosis, we work with the local authority to identify and meet the needs of the people we support.
We also have a shared office space which is in a central location and is a central hub for the entire service. We can utilise this space for training and to ensure people have private space for their own meetings.
