I joined Swanton Care in February 2026 as the Registered Manager at Maesteilo Care Home.
I am an experienced senior manager, having worked within the learning disabilities and social care sector for over 35 years. I am professional, confident and approachable, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred support that enables the people we support to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Throughout my career, I have supported adults across a range of services, including day services, supported living and residential care. Combined with my academic studies, this experience has given me the skills and knowledge to carry out my role to a high standard.
I am passionate about values-based support and committed to embedding these values across the service. I strive to create an environment where the people we support and our staff team can continue to grow, develop and achieve their goals.
At Maesteilo, we recognise that a skilled, motivated and well-supported staff team is key to delivering positive outcomes. As a management team, we are committed to recruiting people who share our values and providing ongoing training, coaching and support.
I am looking forward to continuing to develop my career with Swanton Care and building a positive, supportive environment at Maesteilo.

I joined Swanton Care in September 2006 as a Support Worker at Maesteilo care home, since then I have gradually progressed through to Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Home Manager and most recently progressing to Regional Director of Wales in July 2022. Throughout my time with Swanton Care, they have supported me through my Level 3 and Level 5 Management qualification in Health and Social Care.
I have supported people with learning disabilities and autism for over 16 years, the knowledge and skills gained during this time is invaluable and has supported my progression through to my current role. My philosophy is to provide person-centred care that embraces safe and meaningful care for the people we support, encouraging growth and opportunity. I am a strong believer that working together is best and working in partnership with the people we support brings more positive and meaningful outcomes.
During my seven years of being a Manager, I have helped develop 4 members of my team who then progressed to Deputy or Managers. Encouraging my team to develop and grow always brings a smile to my face and I look forward to continuing this throughout my role as Regional Director.
