Service Manager
I started my career in 2003 as a bank support worker and I have worked hard to progress. I was promoted within a year to a Team Leader, then a Registered Manager. I make it my mission to ensure that every person has a voice and a person-centred plan in place.
I joined Emerald Care Services as a Registered Manager in 2019 and I was delighted in 2022 to be promoted to the Regional Operations Director for the Central and Yorkshire Region for Swanton Care.
It’s my passion to ensure that I provide the guidance to my teams to enable them to care for people we support at an outstanding level. I am committed to making a difference to the lives of the people we support and my team whilst being present in each area of my region, making the time to visit each home as much as possible.
I started my career as a Support Worker when I graduated university in 2004, progressing my way through Deputy Manager and Home Manager, eventually joining Swanton in 2018 working as a Locality Manager covering services in and around Hull.
I have successfully held registrations for, and worked in, a full range of services from Supported Living to challenging Residential homes.
I share Swanton Care’s passion for ensuring that the vulnerable people in our care have the best life and opportunities possible. I believe this is achieved by making sure the people we support have their voices heard and that our teams are appropriately trained ad supported to provide this care.
I feel privileged to work in such a rewarding sector with a fantastic team, I look forward to what the future will bring for the people we support and our organization.
At St Paul’s - Emerald Care the people we support always come first, and we are continually finding ways to improve the support we provide and the lives of the people we care for. We positively support the individuals to have an active role in the community on their own terms.
We received many positive comments in our latest CQC report; for the full report, please visit below.
‘People and their relatives told us staff were lovely and made them feel safe’
‘People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.’
