Towyn Way - Values in Care, consists of 5-bedrooms, 2 of which are on the ground floor so that we can support specific individuals to remain living here. The house is suitable to support people of all needs and the people we support are invited to be included in the decisions for the home, such as furniture, decoration, and personalising their own rooms.

I joined Values in Care in February of 2012, being new to care and support I was keen to understand all of the training that I was being provided to ensure that I was delivering the best quality of care possible. This led me to further my career and start moving through the different roles such as Team Leader, Deputy Manager and Registered Manager. Whilst doing this, I completed both my Level 3 and 5 qualification in Social Care, my Trainers Qualification and became a Positive Behavioural Management Trainer. In recent years I was successful in the role of Operational Manager and this year I have been successful in procuring the role of Regional Director for Values in Care.
I have always been driven by the people we support and seeing the success and development in which they can achieve when the correct support is given. I believe this is developed by instilling good values within the team, and by fostering a great culture. Swanton Care has provided me with many opportunities, and I am passionate in ensuring these opportunities are available to all of our teams.
I became a Chief Operating Officer in July 2022, prior to this I was Regional Director to Values in Care for 2 years. During my time in the social care sector, I have gained a wealth of experience, starting my career as a young Support Worker in 2003, progressing through roles such as Keyworker, Manager and Area Manager.
I have loved gaining qualifications along the way, including a Level 5 in Leadership and Management and an ILM Level 5 (The Institute of Leadership and Management), this has helped me to support the people in our care to have a better quality of life. I also have a keen interest in Positive Behavioural Support and am continuing my learning by undertaking a Diploma in this specialist area.
During my 19 years in the social care sector, I have always worked in complex homes for people with learning disabilities and autism, leading and directing teams to ensure we offer the best care possible to the people we support. Growing organically has ensured that I have great knowledge, experience and understanding in the care sector.
In my spare time I really enjoy horse riding, spending time with my family and pets.
New experiences are extremely important to the people we support and a great way of finding new activities, hobbies, or educational things that they love to do. We will strive to provide a variety of activities to ensure we provide the best possible life for those in our care at Towyn Way - Values in Care.
“Every Moment Matters” is the Swanton ethos and here at Towyn Way we strive for this. The people we support all have very specific and different needs, which is why we provide individualised person-centred care.
We provide a variety of educational activities that we carry out weekly, the structure works well within Towyn Way, as the people we support enjoy their routines and understand the choices they made to enhance their quality of life.
