Bio coming soon.
I began working in Social Care sector since January 1996, this was soon after I finished my degree in BSc Behavioural sciences. I commenced employment as a support worker with a not-for-profit organisation working with adults with learning disabilities. This was during the time when Ely hospital in South Wales was in the process transitioning people from hospital to resettle in the community into supported living accommodation.
I continued my employment with the organisation, developing in my career with various roles across the organisation, working with different models of support including supported living, respite, community support and residential manager roles.
I have worked in senior management roles for the last 15 years mainly in operations and quality assurance. I have been a Registered Manager since 2014 with two providers in the last 27 years.
I am a trainer and been the organisational lead for person centred practise, ensuring that people supported live lives to their full potential and are encouraged to have greater choice and control. I feel passionate that people are at the forefront of their own support provision ensuring that the quality-of-service provision is exceptional.
I have recently joined Swanton Care, Values in Care as the Regional Director in August 2023 and look forward to working within this organisation to continue my career development supporting people and staff to reach their goals and aspirations.

Both Tyn Y Wern and Woodland Lodge offer a range of support and activities for the people we support, who experience complex needs. Our aims and goals are creating new person-centred experiences with things such as fitness, crafts, education and relaxation, things they may not have had the chance to experience previously. We love to build skills with their favourite activities but also love organising new activities and ensuring the people we support are completely involved from start to finish. We believe it’s all about empowering them to live an independent, valued and fulfilling life.
In our last C.I.W report, no recommendations were given for us to follow. Family members have shared their experience with us and said that they have a ‘good relationship with the staff’ and are ‘confident in the excellent standard of care provided by the staff team.’
Heartfelt thank you cards and biscuits for the team’s commitment and dedication are also a regular occurrence.
