I began my career in care back in 2010, working in elderly care settings and gaining experience across a variety of roles. In 2021, I joined Swanton as a Team Leader and was quickly supported to progress into a Deputy Manager position.
In 2023, I stepped into the role of Service Manager for a supported living service to cover maternity leave, and then spent a year as the Registered Manager at Seaham View. I’ve now returned to Swanton Community Services Tyne and Wear as the Registered Manager, where I’m proud to lead a fantastic team.
I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care and am currently working towards my Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
Swanton has given me the opportunity to grow and develop into the manager I always hoped to become. From the very beginning, I felt that my values aligned with the organisation, and I’m proud to be part of a team that makes such a difference every day.
I bring over 15 years of experience in the social care sector, having started my career as a support worker in 2009. Over the years, I have held various leadership roles, which have given me a deep understanding of both the challenges and rewards of delivering high-quality care.
I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with technology companies to develop assistive technologies, and most recently, I served as a Strategic Leader overseeing 130 services across residential, respite, domiciliary, and ISL provisions. My dedication to ensuring that care is personalised and tailored to each individual’s unique needs is central to my work, and I firmly believe that every voice matters and deserves to be heard.

We are rated Good with CQC and are inspected by social workers and care coordinators frequently.
We love to support those in our care to have fun, explore the outdoors and learn new skills for life, as well as breathing in the fresh air. At Swanton Community Care - Tyne and Wear, we encourage family and friends input, to help us ensure we are providing the best high-quality support for all.
A family member recently commented that their loved one is supported “Just as well as my mum would do.” when a family situation led them to need supported living services.
