I have worked in the field of health and social care throughout my whole career starting as a Nurse then Midwife, opening my first new care home in 1991.

During the last 30 years I have held senior board level positions in several large health and social care organisations, my most recent post was as Executive Director of Mencap England, responsible for over 800 services across England.

Prior to this I was Managing Director at The Outcomes First Group where I worked for 14 years overseeing over 180 children’s homes, schools and adult care services for children and adults with Learning Disabilities in England, Scotland and Wales.

I have been acting as an expert LD advisor to NICE and NICE Quality Standards Advisory Committee between 2012- 2020.

I am also the Responsible Individual (RI) for all of our Adult Homes in England and Scotland.

I have been working in social care for over 30 years, starting my career as a Support Worker, I have since undertaken various roles in the sector with several providers, covering both Adults and Childrens services. I am a qualified Social Worker and for the last 20 years I have been operating within senior management teams overseeing both operations and development functions.

I joined Swanton Care in 2017 and until recently was the Executive Director for Quality & Ethos, having previously been the Chief Operating Officer and Responsible Individual.

I am extremely committed to ensuring that the people using our services receive the highest quality of support provision possible, and that they, along with all of our teams, are given opportunities and support to develop and succeed.

I joined the finance team at Swanton Care in September 2021 as Chief Financial Officer. My experience before that was in companies providing domiciliary and complex care at home. The transition to Swanton Care has given me the opportunity to be embedded in the ethos in our residential and support living services, not just a finance figure in head office! I am passionate about empowering our teams to deliver our person-centred, high quality service. We can do this via personalised pricing models to achieve our goal that Every Moment Matters.

I have spent nine years working for a highly awarded national live-in care provider, working predominantly with older people and people living with dementia. During my time there I held a variety of roles, both operational and strategic, including Care Manager, Quality Manager and latterly Director of Quality Assurance responsible for both the Quality and Compliance and Learning and Development Teams.

I worked most recently for a North-West based provider of residential and supported living services for people with learning disabilities and autism who specialise in supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs.

I’m passionate about creating structures which result in demonstrable improvements in health and wellbeing outcomes for the people we support and have extensive experience in developing and utilising digital technology to deliver such improvements.

In my spare time I’m on the board of two charities; Talkback; a Berkshire charity providing education and life skill opportunities for people with learning disabilities and autism, and Age UK.

I have held similar roles as the Estates lead in a variety of national care operators for more than 2 decades and have now enjoyed almost 4 very lively years with Swanton. Throughout my time with Swanton, I have been constantly impressed by the dedicated efforts of colleagues at all levels in responding to the challenges of growing from 27 to over 100 operational homes while making sure that every moment really does matter for all the people we support.

While my team and I will always be supporting players, with only an indirect overlap with the main caring activities, we all have a strong understanding of the environmental factors necessary to provide a positive care experience. We all aim to contribute towards improving the wider operational service wherever the opportunity arises.

The quality and range of our homes has undoubtedly now reached a high-level and along with my team and other colleagues, I am keen to play an active ongoing part in developing and maintaining the opportunities it provides to continue to improve the people we support lives.

I started my career in the armed forces as a combat medical technician before moving into Health and Social care in 2002. During my time in Health and Social care I have held the titles of Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Home Manager, Area Manager, Regional Director to the position I now hold Within Swanton Care, Group Development Director. My previous experiences allows me to make informed decisions that I know will truly make a difference to the lives of the people we support.

As Group Development Director I am passionate in delivering high quality environments for the adults and children we support, creating homely, sustainable, and flexible environments that meet the needs for the people we support.

Every day we look at how we can make a difference across our services new and existing, I am passionate & dedicated in making a difference and making every moment matter for someone, it’s a privilege to do what we do in this amazing sector.

I became a Divisional Director for Wales in January 2024, prior to this I was Regional Director to Values In Care for 2 years. During my time in the social care sector, I have gained a wealth of experience, starting my career as a young Support Worker in 2003, progressing through roles such as Keyworker, Manager and Area Manager.

I have loved gaining qualifications along the way, including a Level 5 in Leadership and Management and an ILM Level 5 (The Institute of Leadership and Management), this has helped me to support the people in our care to have a better quality of life. I also have a keen interest in Positive Behavioural Support and am continuing my learning by undertaking a Diploma in this specialist area.

During my 19 years in the social care sector, I have always worked in complex homes for people with learning Disabilities and autism, leading and directing teams to ensure we offer the best care possible to the people we support. Growing organically has ensured that I have great knowledge, experience and understanding in the care sector.

I am also the Responsible Individual (RI) for all of our Adult Homes in Wales.

In my spare time I really enjoy horse riding, spending time with my family and pets.

I joined Swanton in 2018 as Regional Director for South Wales to grow and develop our Ethos across the services, since then I have had the opportunity to become a divisional director for Central England during 2024. Working in a company that places quality, openness, empathy, and integrity above all else has been inspirational. Leading the Region to grow in developing these skills has been an exciting journey.

Having worked within social care for over 25 years, following growing up in a home for people with learning disabilities, its fair to say that Social Care is a part of who I am. ‘Every Moment Matters’ with the people we support, and the support team are at the heart of everything we do.

My social care career journey from Support Worker/Team Leader/ Registered Manager/ Regional Director/Project Director and now Divisional Director ensures I understand that the role of support can be the most challenging yet rewarding of all roles. I trust that I am in a position to make a difference and help all that joins us have a positive experience.

I joined Swanton in 2017 as a service manager and worked with the team to expand supported living services as well as manage residential homes. In time, I became regional director for the North-East in 2021, and Divisional Director in 2024. I learned very early on in my career with Swanton that the company is very passionate about the people we support, their homes and enriching their quality of life, which aligns with my own values.

I moved to England from Mumbai, India, in 2005 for education which I continued to do for several years. During this time, I integrated with people from many countries and cultures, and this helped broaden my viewpoints massively. I firmly believe this helped me to embrace diversity and value varied inputs throughout my career, which I have been in since 2006.

I understand that being in a support environment can be difficult. Together, the team and I are here to help in empowering and supporting those in our care to feel safe and live the lives they wish to lead.

I joined Swanton Care and Community in July 2019 as Interim Regional Director and became Registered Manager of Southfields a short time later. During early 2024 I was then promoted to Divisional Director of Scotland. I have over 18 years operational management experience across all sectors of health and social care in Scotland. Professionally, I remain a Registered Mental Health nurse and as such I also lead and coordinate our Mental Health First Aiders across all of our services nationally.

My drive is to lead and support my team to provide person led care through empowering the people we support to achieve their potential and aspirations in life. We work in collaboration with all our partners in order to provide the very best service we can. As a former Scots Guardsman, I feel it is important to make a difference in young people’s lives and have been an Adult Volunteer with the Army Cadet Force for several years.

I joined Swanton Care in September 2006 as a Support Worker at Maesteilo care home, since then I have gradually progressed through to Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Home Manager and most recently progressing to Regional Director of Wales in July 2022. Throughout my time with Swanton care, they have supported me through my level 3 and level 5 management qualification in Health and Social Care.

I have supported people with Learning Disabilities and Autism for over 16 years, the knowledge and skills gained during this time is invaluable and has supported my progression through to my current role. My philosophy is to provide person-centred care that embraces safe and meaningful care for the people we support, encouraging growth and opportunity. I am a strong believer that working together works best and working in partnership with the people we support brings more positive and meaningful outcomes.
During my seven years of being a Manager, I have helped developed 4 members of my team who then progressed to Deputy or Managers.

Encouraging my team to develop and grow always bring smile to my face and I look forward to continuing this throughout my role as Regional Director.

I started my career in 2003 as a bank support worker and I have worked hard to progress, I was promoted within a year to a Team Leader, then a Registered Manager, I make it my mission to ensure that every person has a voice and a person-centred plan in place.

I joined Emerald Care Services as a Registered Manager in 2019 and I was delighted in 2022 to be promoted to the Regional Operations Director for the Central and Yorkshire Region for Swanton Care.

It’s my passion to ensure that I provide the guidance to my teams to enable them to care for people we support at an outstanding level. I am committed to making a difference to the lives of the people we support and my team whilst being present in each area of my region, making the time to visit each home as much as possible.

I joined Swanton Care & Community in September 2021, as the Regional Director for the East Anglian Region, since then I have had the opportunity to become the Divisional Director for the East of England.

I have been a Registered Nurse (RNLD) for over 25 years, and during that time have enjoyed a varied career within a range of settings and services at a senior level.

I have an MBA and APMP qualification.

I am proud of the team that I work with & the passion that they have for their roles and the people we support. I embrace being able to make a positive difference to the lives of the people we support and our team members.

I have been working in residential care and special needs school/services since 1999. My Previous roles include consultancy work, supporting failing homes and schools to improve. I then became a Registered Manager for 5 years, during this time, the team and myself had an Ofsted Judgment of ‘outstanding’ for 5 years.

My more recent roles progressed to Operational Manager supporting 13 homes and most recently In November 2015 I joined Courtyard Care as Regional Director.

I am a qualified Social Worker who is passionate and driven to provide the best possible outcomes for children and young people we support. Myself and my team have a keen interest in ensuring our services are ‘fit for purpose’ and meet all regulatory frameworks/requirements. We are very child-centred and believe every child should be given the opportunity to grow and succeed. Barriers can be overcome by working together to achieve the best outcomes.

We celebrate all achievements as every step is a milestone for the children / young people we support.

have 10+ years’ experience in the care sector, with both young adults and children. I have had the pleasure of working with multiple registered services where we offered support and care for children with learning disabilities, mental health, emotional behavioural difficulties, sexual harmful behaviours and complex health needs.

I started my working career in the British Army where I formed an aptitude for teamwork and leading from the front. After a career change in 2010 I found myself in my first role supporting young people/adults in a supported living environment, whilst still linked to the British Army as a reservist. I then supported in a children’s residential care setting in 2013 where I progressed through varying roles to become the Regional Operations Manager for the east & southeast Anglia covering 13 Good and Outstanding services.

I am very passionate about improving lives by providing the best possible care whilst helping them to reach their full potential. I’m a driven and strategic individual with proven success in this industry.

I am also the Responsible Individual (RI) for all of our children’s homes in the South.

I began working in Social Care sector since January 1996, this was soon after I finished my degree in BSc Behavioural sciences. I commenced employment as a support worker with a not-for-profit organisation working with adults with learning disabilities. This was during the time when Ely hospital in South Wales was in the process transitioning people from hospital to resettle in the community into supported living accommodation.
I continued my employment with the organisation, developing in my career with various roles across the organisation, working with different models of support including supported living, respite, community support and residential manager roles.

I have worked in senior management roles for the last 15 years mainly in operations and quality assurance. I have been a Registered Manager since 2014 with two providers in the last 27 years.
I am a trainer and been the organisational lead for person centred practise, ensuring that people supported live lives to their full potential and are encouraged to have greater choice and control. I feel passionate that people are at the forefront of their own support provision ensuring that the quality-of-service provision is exceptional.

I have recently joined Swanton Care, Values in Care as the Regional Director in August 2023 and look forward to working within this organisation to continue my career development supporting people and staff to reach their goals and aspirations.
