Walking enthusiasts Amy and Adam got the steps in on Sunday 2nd June, when they took part in the second annual Glasgow Wellness Walk.
The duo, who are supported at Deanston House, clocked up an impressive 8 miles during the event, which they also attended in 2023.
The Glasgow route took them past many of the city’s landmarks, including the People’s Palace, the Necropolis and Merchant City.
At the event, in aid of Diabetes UK, the walkers also walked along the banks of the River Clyde.
Service Manager Leanne Fairburn said that the Deanston Duo had a great time and was well supported by colleagues Raymond and Celia.
Leanne said: “Well done to Amy and Adam for completing their second Glasgow Wellness Walk.
“They both love walking, so it was the perfect charity initiative for them to get involved in.
“What a great way to take in the city, enjoy the fresh air and raise awareness for such an important cause.”
For Amy, walking is a true passion, and she makes sure to get out every second weekend.
While Amy plots the routes and schedules, Celia supports as her driver and walks with her.
Leanne added: “Celia knows how much hill walking brings to Amy’s life, and she supports her all the way, quite literally.
“They’ve even tackled a few Munros Hills in Scotland, which is no mean feat!”
