Disney fan Samantha has a piece of the Magic Kingdom in her very own bedroom thanks to art work she and her support team created.
As a self-confessed devotee of Disney, Samantha – who is supported at Graig Llwyd - has already adorned her walls with images of the animation giant’s famous princesses.
The Disney Princess drawings were created using a projector to screen the image on the wall, which the artists used as a template.
Support Worker Shellby Llewellyn has a particular gift for art and has helped draw Princesses Cinderella, Tiana, Aurora and Snow White on Samantha’s wall.
The Princesses are joined by Aladdin, his Genie, and Abu the monkey. In another section, Belle, Ariel and Flounder the fish, plus Jasmine and the magic lamp, are depicted.
But the ante has been upped by Samantha herself, who has helped to colour the iconic Cinderalla’s Castle on her wall.
Service Manager Laura Priest said: “Samantha’s room looks absolutely amazing, and she is so proud of herself.
“It’s no secret that Disney is Samantha’s favourite, and she was fortunate enough to go to Disneyland Paris last October.
“Thanks to Shelby and the other support workers who’ve helped Samantha, she’s created the magic of Disney in her bedroom.
“She loves nothing better than bringing visitors in to see what they’ve achieved.”
The Cinderella’s Castle project involved hard graft as Samantha helped the team sand down and paint the wall, so it was ready for the drawing.
However, all the hard work paid off.
Laura added: “What is terrific about Samantha’s Disney bedroom is that it’s a great conversation point for her.
“When people visit, she can strike up conversations about her room, visiting Disneyland Paris and her love of the films.
“This makes a huge difference in boosting Samantha’s confidence and promoting wellbeing.
“We’re all so proud of her for doing such a brilliant job.”
