Talented Carwyn has proved that when it comes to making things, he can turn his hand to anything after making an amazing woodwork gift.
Having already mastered pottery, Carwyn has been enjoying woodwork sessions at the Maesteilo Activity Hub and has made something special for his parents.
Carwyn’s mum and dad are cat lovers and have four kitties in the house.
So, with the support of tutor Sam Lloyd Smith, Carwyn has made a fantastic cat bowl for them.
Sam said: “Carwyn is a naturally creative person, and it’s been great working with him to make this gift for Mum and Dad.
“He used various tools and techniques to build the cat bowl, which has decorative bones on the front.
“It’ll look smashing at his parents’ home, and I know they are going to love it.”
Carwyn isn’t resting on his laurels following the success; instead, he’s moving on to his next project – a clock.
Sam added: “It’s wonderful to work with Carwyn and help him develop his skills.
“He’s already done cutting, sandy and varnishing on his wooden clock, so it’s beginning to take shape already.
“I don’t know if he’s planning to gift this at Christmas or if Carwyn’s clock will hang pride of place at his home instead.”
