Charity tea party raises smiles and funds at All Saints Vicarage

A terrific tea party in the sunshine gave Team All Saints Vicarage a chance to do good and feel good.

Colleagues and people supported at the service hosted over 100 guests at the joyful event, which raised £230 for the charity Gateway Wheelers.

There were delicious cakes, fun-filled games and a raffle to raise money as the revellers gathered in All Saints Vicarage’s glorious grounds.

Service Manager Matthew Bell said that it was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the outdoor space.

Matthew said: “The All Saints tea party has been one of the highlights of the summer for us.

“It was lovely to see so many people we support and teams together, as well as family members too.

“We are lucky to have a beautiful outdoor space here and would like to share it with as many people as possible.

“To be able to fill the garden full of friends, and raise some funds for Gateway Wheelers, was just brilliant.”

Gateway Wheelers provide assisted cycling experiences for people with additional needs, and some of the people supported at All Saints Vicarage regularly use their cycles.

So, they were thrilled to be able to hand over a donation to such a worthy cause.

Matthew added: “We raised £230 for Gateway Wheelers from our tombola, and we know they’ll appreciate that money.

“We’re already planning next year’s event and intend to make it even bigger and better.

“Fingers crossed we have the same luck with the weather again!”

The team were thrilled to hand their donation over to Gateway Wheelers a couple of weeks after the party.
