Chris Davis Wins Gold At Wales Care Awards 2022

Chris Davis Wales Care Awards 2022

Values In Care’s Chris Davis had a fantastic night at this year’s Wales Care Awards, where he picked up a gold gong.

Projects and Behavioural Support Manager Chris triumphed in the Commitment To Training & Workplace Development category.

The judges were particularly impressed with Chris’ partnership with Edu8 Training to help facilitate apprenticeships in the sector.

He was also commended for striving to provide better development opportunities for his colleagues.

Delighted Chris picked up the gold award at an event in City Hall, Cardiff, this autumn and says he’s still ‘buzzing’ from the honour.

Chris said: “The entire awards do was a massive blur – I don’t think I’ve stopped smiling since.

“My favourite part of my job is delivering training, and I have been so lucky to have amazing people and organisations that have supported me since starting.

“Values in Care have believed in me and understood the importance of training and supported me to develop training packs and deliver bespoke courses to some of the best staff I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

“I’m so proud to be a part of such an amazing team.”

According to Chris, he’d have never found his ‘dream role’ if it wasn’t for his sister Ceri.

Six years ago, Chris started working in the care sector after being inspired by his sister’s love of her job.

Chris said: “I owe so much to my sister Ceri. I never would have started in care without her.

“Watching how she does her job with so much pride and dedication has always inspired me to be better. She deserves an award.”
