Chris’ New Car Drives Independent Day Trips

A whole world of adventure has opened up for Chris now he’s got his own mobility car.

Chris, who is supported at Green Gables, picked out his stylish red vehicle and can now go wherever he chooses.

Support Worker Sian Davies helped Chris select the car and accompanies him on fantastic days out.

The first day involved a slap-up Full English breakfast at the café at Glyncorrwg Mountain Bike Centre, followed by a wander around the area.

Chris then headed to the barber to have his hair cut before he and Sian went to Cefn Mably Farm for some early Christmas shopping.

According to Service Manager Hannah Wilcox, Chris and Sian have made the most of his new independence ever since.

Hannah said, “It’s terrific to see Chris out and about having a wonderful time.

“Having his own mobility car means that Chris has the freedom to go wherever he chooses, and he loves taking day trips.

“We’ve seen a noticeable impact on his well-being, and he expresses his happiness through smiles, claps and jumping for joy.

“It’s lovely to see him so happy.”

Following their first few trips, Chris and Sian recently visited Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo.

Chris loved visiting the fairground and going on the rides.

Hannah added: “Folley Farm is an excellent place for a day trip, and Chris loved it.

“He and Sian managed to pack a lot into their day, and Chris really enjoyed seeing so many different zoo animals.

“We’re looking forward to seeing where his new wheels take him over the next few months!”
