Christmas Illuminations Light Up Team Green Gables

A stunning festive light display got people supported at Green Gables in the mood for Christmas.

Support staff accompanied Christopher, Paul, Christopher and *Ryan to Bute Park for the magical experience.

Before getting wrapped up warm for the illuminations, the group dined at The Cedar Tree, where most people chose a carvery meal.

After the treat dinner, it was time to head to Bute Park, where the fun really began.

Support Worker Jess Hopkins said: “Bute Park puts on a light trail every year, but this is the first time we’ve taken the people we support.

“It was so beautiful to see all the lights – there was a twilight garden, fireflies and Delilah the dragon!

“The people we support enjoyed walking through Bute Park and seeing it in such a different light because of all the illuminations.

“There were lots of smiles, so we know a good time was had by all.”

Bute Park’s Christmas Light Trail is famous for conjuring the magic of the season.

Visitors can enjoy marshmallow toasting, a Christmas village and a unicorn disco.

It was the perfect way to get the people supported at Green Gables excited for Christmas.

Jess added: “It’s such a lovely time of year to do new activities with the people we support.

“The light trail made us all feel festive and ready for all the fun we’ll be having at Green Gables over the next few weeks.”
