The warmer weather has inspired the people supported at Swanton’s Eastholme service to get out and enjoy their local area.
Although Sue can find community activities challenging, with the support of her team, she’s been able to make the most of her trips out.
Sue has joined the other ladies from the service on trips to Hamsley Forest, Tunstall Reservoir and Whitby.
Everyone has been so proud of how well she’s done in the community after so much hard work and effort to help her manage her triggers.
Deputy Manager Mel Clark said: “It has been wonderful for the Eastholme ladies to get out and about in the sunshine.
“We’re lucky to have some great places to visit nearby and the girls really enjoy a picnic in nature.
“Sue has done incredibly well and got across to Holy Island and Whitby, where she sampled the legendary local fish and chips.
“It’s so nice to explore the local community, and there’s always an ice cream treat somewhere along the line!”
This is the start of a summer of adventure as the Eastholme Explorers make their community trips to different locations.
So far, there’s been a particular stand-out moment for Charlotte.
Mel added: “Charlotte said that she loved feeding the ducks at the Tunstall Reservoir.
“It’s terrific that these little moments of happiness can come from our trips.
“We’ll be doing a lot more of them this summer and can’t wait to experience lots more fab days out.”
