The ladies supported at Eastholme gave Support Worker Andrea a wonderful send-off as she went on maternity leave this winter.
Although Andrea will be greatly missed while she’s away, everyone at the service is thrilled that she’s starting such an exciting new chapter in her life.
So, ahead of the birth, staff and people supported at Eastholme came together for a lovely baby-themed celebration in her honour.
Andrea was delighted to find the room decorated with balloons and banners and to get thoroughly spoiled by her friends.
Service Manager Terry Bayliss said: “Andrea is a much-loved member of the team, and we are so happy for her and her family.
“It was lovely to give her some beautiful flowers, teddies, baby clothes and a few other bits to enjoy.
“We all shared some delicious cake and toasted her with hot drinks. Andrea was really touched, which was lovely to see.”
Since the party, some happy news has reached Eastholme.
Terry revealed: “Andrea has given birth to a healthy little boy, and we couldn’t be happier.
“We can’t wait to meet him and to catch up with ‘Mum’ for a visit.”
