Their eagerly anticipated break was the first trip the girls have been able to take since the start of the pandemic. So, they were in high spirits as they arrived at the summer lodge in Thirsk, situated in stunning woodland with its own lake and hot tub.
Charlotte and Sarah went for the first few days, where they took in the sights of the local seaside town of Whitby. The Eastholme care home girls enjoyed sightseeing in Whitby, shopping trips and a fish and chip lunch and team Leader Mel Clark said it was a terrific break for Charlotte and Sarah.
Mel said:
“The great thing about the lodge was that it was so close to many places all the girls wanted to visit. Every day, they could get out and about, having the experiences they have been looking forward to. In the evenings, Charlotte took full advantage of the luxury hot tub while Sarah relaxed with her colouring books.”
Later in the week, Vicky and Katie arrived for their holiday – and were bowled over by the lodge.
