Fun Whitby Day Trip Blows Eastcliffe Cobwebs Away

The winter weather was no match for the fun-loving people supported at Eastcliffe this season as they enjoyed a chilly day at the seaside.

Robert, Paul, Simon and David pulled on their warmest clothes as they braced themselves for walking the Whitby promenade and taking in the sites.

Team Eastcliffe stopped to fuel up at the chip shop on the marina before braving the elements during a busy day of sightseeing.

After delicious fish and chips, they walked along the beach, visited the town’s pirate ship and took in the sites of the train station.

According to Deputy Manager Chloe Parker, it was just the tonic everyone needed.

Chloe said: “The boys love getting out and enjoying the local area – so Whitby was the perfect destination.

“There’s plenty to see and do, plus you can have a chippy lunch and lots of treats.

“Although the weather wasn’t great, it didn’t put any of us off. Instead, we had loads of fun and even stopped for a final indulgence before heading home.”

The last stop was at a café serving delicious hot chocolate. Everyone picked up a warming cup and enjoyed it on the coach ride home.

Chloe added: “There’s nothing better than a creamy hot chocolate to finish off a bracing walk at the seaside.

“Everyone was in good spirits and had thoroughly enjoyed their day trip.

“We look forward to planning another day out very soon.”
