Glenn Thrilled To Get First Aid Accolade

It was a big moment for Glenn at The Cedars when he was presented with a certificate for his first aid training course.

Glenn chanced upon a staff training session where Kelly Richardson was running a first aid and CPR class for Team Cedars.

After spending some time watching the support team going through Kelly’s exercises, Glenn asked if he could participate in the training.

Not only was Kelly happy to include him, but she was very impressed by his efforts.

Kelly said: “Glenn did so well – he picked up the first aid training really quickly.

“I showed him how we do CPR on the mannequin, and he understood the breathwork and how to save a life.

“It was great to see him get stuck in and to learn such a valuable new skill.”

Having learned alongside his support staff, Glenn was invited to receive his very own certificate for participating in the training.

Service Manager Jan Collins and Deputy Manager Colette Cooper presented him with the accolade.

Kelly added: “Glenn came into the office at The Cedars to be handed his certificate, and Jan and Collette told him how proud they were.

“We were all so pleased that Glenn got involved in the first aid training off his own back and then worked so well during the session.

“He was thrilled to get his certificate and have his picture taken.”
