Revellers at Values In Care’s & Swanton Wales’ summer soiree were transported to Hawaii for a fun-packed day of celebrations.
People supported across services in south and west Wales shrugged off the cooler temperatures to embrace the sunny vibes of the paradise islands.
With many guests adorned in traditional Hawaiian shirts, the activities got underway – with the most exciting being a surf simulator.
Throw in some excellent BBQ food, sweet treats, games and plenty of music, and you have all the ingredients for a party to remember.
Vocational Services Manager Lucy Williams said: “We had a truly amazing day at our summer party – and it was all suggested by the people we support.
“We asked the people we support forum to tell us what they wanted for their summer party, and we were thrilled by their fantastic ideas.
“The Hawaiian theme was terrific and so much fun, especially as the colours on shirts, flower garlands and props made everything pop.”
People we support and their support teams were joined by friends and relatives for an unforgettable afternoon.
There was no end of delicious treats, courtesy of the candy cart, cake stall and ice cream van.
Plus, the music inspired plenty of singing and some fantastic dance moves.
Lucy added: “The whole event was so joyful – it’s always great to get everyone together for a big party.
“We might not be able to compete with Hawaii when it comes to the sunshine, but we made up for it in spirit.
“It was lovely to see everybody having such a good time and embracing the summer fun.”
